Markings on the hub "Mercedes D.IVa hp 260 1400 29647" "29647" as well... German aircraft propeller, either a counter rotating propeller or a pusher propeller. Two aircrafts that would have this engine and pusher propeller combination as well as being significant enough in size to use such a large propeller... German Gotha G.IV Bomber and the Straaken R.VI Bomber...The propeller is in good condition with age wear, dings, and small scrapes...Refinished. A very unusual, beautiful and extremely rare propeller that would be a centerpiece to any aviation collection.
